CRAZY HAT DAY – FRIDAY 8 DECEMBER
Please join us on Friday December 8 2023 for a Crazy Hat Day in aid of Emily’s Gift.
On December 8 1994 and at just 2.5 years old, Emily Kent was taken for a CAT scan that was supposed to eradicate a lot of things. Emily’s doctor wondered if she kept falling over because of her gait. Immediately after the scan, she was taken by ambulance to Frenchay in Bristol where Emily’s parents, Julie and Bernard Kent, were told she had a tumour in the back of her brain.
To mark this date in Emily’s journey we are asking everyone in schools, offices, shops, cafés and restaurants etc to wear a hat (any sort of hat - crazy or otherwise) on Friday December 8 and encourage your staff, pupils, colleagues, customers and friends to drop a fiver or any loose change into a bucket to raise funds for Emily’s Gift.
If you would like us to pop in and take a photograph with our selfie frame or thank you board, for our social media, please let us know by emailing: emilysgift@piedpiperappeal.co.uk
